Set along the Massachusetts coast, this autumn workshop was an immersive study in floral artistry, craftsmanship, and creative exchange. Hosted by Gather Floral, Harvest Floral, and Lin Floral Co., the two-day intensive brought together designers for hands-on exploration of large-scale floral installations, bouquet design, and centerpiece composition.

The first day focused on structure and movement, beginning with the construction of a richly textured floral arch alongside Meg of Harvest Floral. The workshop continued with a bouquet intensive led by Sydnee of Gather Floral, exploring tonal variation, movement, and the sculptural qualities of flowers through layered shades of pink.

Day two turned toward centerpiece design with Bree of Lin Floral Co., drawing inspiration directly from the surrounding landscape. Periwinkle wild asters growing along the riverbanks informed the palette, offering a vivid contrast to the warmth of the season and demonstrating the unexpected possibilities of color-driven floral design.

More than an opportunity to learn new techniques, the workshop became a thoughtful exchange of ideas, perspectives, and creative practices—reinforcing the importance of continued education in an evolving floral craft.
